Courage Assumption
The Courage Assumption (formerly known as the Faith Assumption and the Faith Position) is part of the New God Argument. It posits that humanity will not become extinct before evolving into superhumanity, which may be false. Lincoln's articles explore practical and moral reasons to trust that humanity can help make such a future real through practical work, from Cannon's Wager to dynamic faith and created truth. This aspiration is common among Transhumanists and may be consistent with the religious doctrine of theosis.
